Heavy and light vehicle technician apprentices available

Are you seeking candidates for technician apprenticeships this year, but struggling to find them? If so, look no further: Remit and Logistics UK have the solution for you.

Given the current difficulties that companies are having in finding qualified technicians to service their vehicles, we are delighted to see that training providers such as Remit are actually over-subscribed for the Light and Heavy Vehicle Maintenance courses this year – which shows that new starters are taking a greater interest in the course.

“The fact that so many candidates are available this year is a positive sign,” says Jonas Keat, Policy Advisor at Logistics UK. “However, in order to capitalise on this position, as an industry, logistics businesses should do everything possible to ensure that those who want to gain this qualification are able to start, and therefore become qualified, as soon as possible.”

Established in 2008, Remit Training is a leading, award-winning, technical training provider, driving individual and organisational performance through teaching and learning from Apprentice to Master Technician.

With a heritage spanning 40 years servicing the training needs of the Automotive industry and rated Outstanding by Ofsted in 2023, Remit is the only provider with four purpose-built academies and a field-based delivery team of expert trainers offering flexible delivery across Light, Heavy and Collision Repair which is available both across the UK and Internationally.

In recognition of this of the current, critical skills shortage, Remit has countless pre-approved candidates available for both Light and Heavy Vehicle Maintenance apprenticeships, as well as collision repair technicians in both panel and paint all looking for a career.

These candidates have been screened and approved by Remit and are deemed ready to start the course. However, they are currently without a placement, due to the current high demand for the course.

Logistics UK is happy to be able to offer its members access to these candidates, who would be ready to start on a Light or Heavy course as soon as they are placed. If this applies to you, and you are currently interested in taking on apprentices for either of these courses, please get in touch with Andy Murdoch (Andrew.Murdoch@remit.co.uk) , Automotive Business Unit Director or request a call back by visiting  https://remit.co.uk/logisticsuk/.
