Logistics UK names Robert Wynne & Sons Ltd Water Business of the Year

Business group Logistics UK has named Robert Wynn & Sons Ltd the Water Business of the Year at its annual Logistics Awards, which took place on 7 December 2023 at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, London.

Transporting the largest and heaviest abnormal, indivisible loads is challenging, without the economic and environmental impact generated by the movement itself. Robert Wynn & Sons provides integrated and sustainable solutions to the challenges of moving these loads by water. Using two specialised heavy lift vessels, Robert Wynn & Sons can remove the need for transporting loads via inland waterways, while minimising disruption and reducing emissions generated by road transport.

“The judges chose the winner because of its ability to take on and deliver hugely challenging logistics projects and use a combination of inland waterways and seagoing operations to deliver for its customers,” said David Wells OBE, Chief Executive at Logistics UK.

“Robert Wynn & Sons truly represents the best of the best, and I am delighted to name it Water Business of the Year.”

Logistics UK’s Logistics Awards 2023 recognise and celebrate the companies and individuals who have made a significant contribution to the logistics and supply industry over the past 12 months and who excel in their fields.

The awards were sponsored by headline sponsor Visku and organisations including Brigade Electronics, Port of Dover, R2C Online, Howard Tenens Logistics, Endava, Bridgestone Mobility Solutions, DHL Supply Chain, Logistics UK Fuel Solutions and Logistics UK Recovery.
