Update on Clean Air Zone briefing note
Logistics UK has updated its monthly members-only Clean Air Zone (CAZ) briefing note.
The document covers Logistics UK’s policy position on urban air quality restrictions and contains information on all CAZs in development, including Low Emission Zones (LEZs) and other clean air measures proposed for cities across the UK.
The briefing note will continue to be updated as further information is received and when other air quality schemes emerge.
“It’s really important for us to know what our members think about CAZs, so we can respond and update accordingly,” says said Ellis Shelton, Policy Advisor at Logistics UK.
“So, we are seeking feedback from members on their experiences with the Clean Air Zones that have now been implemented.”

Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) to review measures on tyres from China
The TRA has initiated two “transition reviews” into anti-dumping and countervailing measures on lorry and bus tyres imported from China. TRA is the UK body that investigates whether trade remedy measures are needed to counter unfair import practices and unforeseen surges of imports.
As part of the transition review, the TRA will determine whether dumping of imported tyres or importation of subsidised tyres would be likely to continue or recur if the measures were no longer applied.
The UK’s retreading industry is estimated to contribute around £230 million to the UK economy each year and supports 5,500 UK jobs.
