Electric Vehicle Report published at Logistics UK conference

Logistics UK launched its 2023 Electric Vehicle (EV) Report on the second day of its Future Logistics Conference, held at ITT Hub in Farnborough on 10-11 May 2023.

The report examines the public chargepoint network, power supply availability and fiscal support, as well as servicing, maintenance and repairs – and lessons learned from those that have begun the transition to EVs.

Michelle Gardner, Deputy Director of Policy at Logistics UK, comments: “We were delighted to launch our latest EV Report at our Future Logistics Conference.

“The conference brings together some of the sector’s leading minds in transport and innovation to discuss the latest developments across industry and debate the technologies and opportunities that will transform its future.

“With electric vehicle technology set to play a pivotal role in industry’s future and its aim to achieve net zero, this is a perfect opportunity to provide attendees with an insight into current progress and future trends.”

National Highways obtains extension to injunction covering major roads in the south east

A 12-month extension to an injunction imposed as part of measures to deter protesters from disrupting some of England’s busiest roads was granted by the High Court on Friday 5 May 2023.

The injunction covering the M25, M25 feeder roads and major roads in Kent was originally obtained by National Highways – the wholly government-owned company responsible for modernising, maintaining and operating England’s motorways and major A roads – last May and will now remain in place until 23.59 hrs on 10 May 2024.
