Logistics UK urges members to share their feedback on operating within Clean Air Zones
Now that the UK’s first four Clean Air Zones are in operation in Bath, Birmingham, Portsmouth and Bradford, and with Bristol's going live on Monday 28 November, Logistics UK is keen to hear from members who are happy to share their experiences of what it is like to operate within them.
The business group has recently updated its members-only Clean Air Zone (CAZ) briefing note, which covers its policy position on urban air quality restrictions and contains information on all CAZs in development, including Low Emission Zones (LEZs) and other clean air measures proposed for cities across the UK. The briefing note will continue to be updated as Logistics UK receives further information and when other air quality schemes emerge.
Natalie Chapman, Head of Policy – South, said: “With four already in operation in the UK, and many more due to be implemented in the coming months and years, Clean Air Zones have the potential to transform the experiences of operators delivering into our city centres.
“In order for Logistics UK to get a better understanding of this tightening regulatory environment for urban deliveries, we would like to invite operators to share their experiences – anonymously if preferred – in order to help inform our policy position and research on this important issue.”
