Generation Logistics case study: Jas, Regional Air and Sea Sales Manager, Europa Air & Sea

“What really attracted me and excited me about my role was trying to find out how a parcel arrives at your home,” Jas begins, excitedly. “What milestones does your parcel go through when you click ‘Order’ on a job? How does it get to your doorstep? That was what provoked the intrigue in me.”

Jas didn’t encounter anything to do with logistics when studying for his law degree, but finds the finer details of his role incredibly satisfying and enjoys explaining the finer details of the journey he mentions above to curious friends and family.

“Logistics wasn’t a sector that I considered before,” he continues. “But the highlight of my career at Europa has been seeing all the different kinds of commodities we import and how much of the commodity we produce we export.”

It’s a career that has turned out very well for Jas and he certainly recommends any newcomers to the industry.

“If you’re looking to get into international careers that will see you through for 20-30 years, I would definitely use it as a stepping-stone to make that happen,” he concludes.
