End of Lease Inspections

  FTA's End of Lease Inspections are accredited by UKAS and act as an independent third party inspection and assessment of vehicles' visual, operational and mechanical condition.

  • an independent, impartial examination performed by fully qualified engineers

What does a typical inspection cover and include?

  • Full visual, operational and mechanical inspection - all items covered on the statutory annual test schedule and the cosmetic condition of the vehicle
  • Assessment of defects caused by damage or misuse
  • Assessment of defects due to fair wear and tear
  • Assessment against other notified return conditions
  • A comprehensive computer printed report of all items contravening annual test regulations, all defects considered beyond fair wear and tear and any other notified return conditions
  • If required FTA's administration department can also manage the process, communicate with the leasing company/recipient and arrange the inspections for you
