FTA's Freight Councils are democratic structures and are open to all members to get actively involved in future policy and decision making processes. There are nine councils throughout England, one in Wales, one in Scotland and one in Northern Ireland, discussing topics ranging from key and operational issues to national freight policy matters.
The councils meet quarterly and members keen to carry issues beyond these regional meetings can be nominated to attend National Council meetings
National Council is divided into four key group
