FTA’s Dangerous Goods Consultancy Service offers a comprehensive and independent dangerous goods support service across all modes of transport both nationally and internationally.
Our team of nationwide qualified road and rail Dangerous Goods Safety Advisers (DGSAs) can offer help and advice on the often complicated and constantly changing dangerous goods regulations. The team works regularly with health organisations, local authorities and NHS trusts, fuel, retail and alcoholic distributors, and a whole host of other specialist operators and organisations.
Given the variety of industries and dangerous goods transported, the service is often tailored to individual company needs, but can incorporate the following.
- 'Health check visit' to ensure operators are aware what rules and criteria apply to the products being manufactured or transported
- Series of DGSA visits to monitor compliance with legislation, and produce annual report
- Temporary DGSA cover, whilst the options available are examined
- Quality assurance service to ensure an in-house DGSA is kept up to date
- Full multi-lingual information in writing (TREMCARD) service
- Guidance on operations via sea (IMDG) and air (IATA/ICAO)
