Ensure that you are operating safe and compliant equipment with FTA's Lifitng Equipment Inspections. With accreditation from UKAS, these impartial examinations performed by qualified engineers are designed to fully examine the visual, operational and mechanical condition of your lifting equipment. Inspections of lifting equipment have to meet standards governed by the Health and Safety Executive (LOLER/PUWER 1998) and British Standards Institution. As part of these standards it is stipulated that inspections must be carried out by a person who is independent, impartial and competent to allow objective decisions to be made with regard to any defects found during the examination. You should have your lifting equipment inspected once every 12 months, minimum, for equipment that is for freight use only and once every six months, minimum, for lifting equipment in a man-up operation. |
