North Down Holywood Exchange - Decathlon Event - Sun 6th Nov

A Decathlon Event will take place in the vicinity of Holywood Exchange and Airport Road on Sunday 6th November 2016. 

Traffic delays are likely between 0900 and  1130

Start time : 09:30am – 11am

Route - Start / Finish @ Decathlon Store - Holywood Exchange - route exits Holywood Exchange at roundabout by IKEA - past Sainsburys / B&Q, through Tillysburn Gate - Moscow Rd - Bombardier - follows Airport Rd West back through Tillysburn Gate - over the roundabout and then left to Finish by Decathlon Store

Belfast - B102 Stewartstown Road - Rapid Transit Scheme

As part of the Belfast Rapid Transit Scheme there will be temporary lane closures on Stewartstown Road from the junction with Finaghy Road North, for approximately 2km, to Michael Ferguson Roundabout.  Road users should expect delays during the works.

Works are planned in the area throughout 2016


Belfast A20 Albertbridge Road - Rapid Transit Scheme

As part of the Belfast Rapid Transit Scheme there will be temporary lane closures on the Albertbridge Road, from the junction with Castlereagh Street to the Newtownards Road. Road users should expect delays during the works - Works are planned in the area until Spring 2017


North Down - Ballymiscaw Road Closed 24 Oct -5 Nov 2016

In North Down the Ballymiscaw Road, Holywood will be closed for resurfacing from Whinney Hill to Church Road from Monday 24th October 2016 to Saturday 5th November 2016, excluding Sunday 30th October 2016. The closure will be in place each day from 09:30 to 18:00.

The diversion route will be via Whinney Hill Road, Bangor Road and Church Road. Local access will be maintained throughout.

Halloween Monster Mash - Slipways & Titanic Belfast 30 Oct

The Halloween Monster Mash returns to the Slipways and Titanic Belfast this Sunday 30th October. 

This is a free event and no tickets are required.  Large numbers are expected. Traffic delays are anticipated around the Queens Road, Queens Quay and Sydenham Road areas during the lead up to and following the event.

The event begins at 1600hrs and will feature Street Theatre, Jugglers and Fire performers, Movie Star Cars, Arts and Crafts, Fairground rides, Face Painting, live music and there will be food available for purchase.

The evening will draw to a close with the largest fireworks display in Belfast set to a Movie Blockbuster soundtrack.  The fireworks will begin at 1845 hours and last approximately 15 minutes.

There is parking available on Queens Road at the surface car parks, Titanic Belfast or the Met College, but there is no designated event car parking onsite.  Patrons are advised to use the free shuttlebus service between Chichester Street and Queens Road (outward journey) and Queens Road and Donegall Square West (return journey).

Belfast - Ciclovia cycling event- Sunday 30th October 2016

On Sunday 30 October from 09.00 to 13.00 College Park, Botanic Avenue, Dublin Road, Bedford Street, Donegall Square West will be closed to traffic for CicloviaBelfast, cycling event between Botanic Gardens and the City Hall.

Ciclovia Belfast

Belfast Cregagh Road / Ladas Drive / Mount Merrion Avenue

In Belfast this Friday evening 28th October motorists are being advised of possible traffic disruption on in the Cregagh Road / Ladas Drive / Mountt Merrion Avenue areas between 5.30pm and 7.10pm and 8.40pm and 9.40 pm due to a rugby match taking place at the Kingspan Stadium.

There will be limited access to Onslow Parade and Ravenhill Park for residents, public transport and taxis dropping off fans at the stadium. Those attending the match are being asked to use Park and Ride facilities provided by Ulster Rugby.

Anyone parking in the vicinity of the stadium should ensure drive ways and other access routes are kept clear. Please follow directions of local police.
