How can I get involved?

Send a postcard

The logistics sector keeps the British economy moving. Don’t let it grind to a halt as a result of crushing Government fee and duty increases. You can show your support by sending a postcard to your MP, asking them to sign Early Day Motion 994.

Remember, the more postcards MPs receive, the more the Government will have to listen, so please order multiple copies for your workplace and encourage your friends, family and colleagues to join our campaign.

The Every Penny Counts campaign is organised by the Freight Transport Association and supported by the Federation of Small Businesses and the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association.

Tell us your story

The recession is already beginning to hurt many companies within the logistics sector, but Government duty and fee increases are kicking them while they’re down. Help us make this campaign about more than just numbers. Share your story with us and tell us how these increases are hurting you, your business and your workforce.

"The increase in fuel duty will cost us dearly, the previous one effectively lumbered us with a tax burden of £3,840 per week; the equivalent to eight drivers' wages. A further fuel duty rise in April combined with rising test fees is a real kick in the teeth for the haulage industry."
