CVShow2012-9Last week, FTA exhibited at the Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC, in Birmingham. The 2012 show was another resounding success and we would like to thank all those who visited us on the stand; it was good to see both new and familiar faces.

Throughout the event, FTA gave briefings on the changes to Operator Compliance Risk Score (OCRS) and planning for the Olympics; issues affecting many of our members in 2012. These were well received and those looking for more detailed information on the Olympics can visit our new Olympics site, or book a place at our Freight Solutions for the London 2012 Games conference on 16 May in London.

Over the three-day event, visitors to the stand were able to try out our interactive zone, featuring a new online gateway allowing drill down reporting on drivers’ hours and vehicle maintenance – essential to assist busy transport managers.

Wednesday evening ended with a drinks reception, where FTA Chief Executive Theo de Pencier launched the 2012 Logistics Report, giving an insightful overview of the logistics industry over the past year.

New literature available this year included; Driver licence checking service, Online management information, Corporate and reputational risk management brochure, the latest Shopfta catalogue, Olympic Support guide, Olympic hotspots calendar and the OCRS compliance guide updated with the recent changes.

We had a great time in Birmingham and we’re already looking forward to next year’s show!
