Putting The Party Into Party Of Wales

FTA would like to express thanks to Plaid Cymru for the kind invitation to attend the party’s annual St David’s Day reception.

In a packed House of Commons Jubilee Room, FTA joined organisations from across public life, MPs, journalists and others to raise a glass to the patron saint of Wales. For Plaid, this was a time of particular satisfaction, and the celebrating raised up a notch, following the Yes vote in Friday’s referendum which will see greater legislative powers extended to the National Assembly for Wales.

For FTA, the evening was a great opportunity to chat with MPs and party staff not only from Plaid, but also their sister party the Scottish National Party, which was also heavily represented. In amongst the wine, waving and Welsh language singing there was still time to talk Severn tolls and fuel duty before the party en masse decamps to Wales for the National Assembly elections in May.

FTA looks forward to seeing Plaid’s programme for the elections, and will respond on this blog when the details are in the public domain.
