On Tuesday 14 December, FTA held a special event to celebrate the hard work the logistics industry takes on at this time of year. Entitled “Logistics Delivering Christmas”, the reception held at Westminster’s fashionable Cinnamon Club was the latest instalment of the popular “Love Logistics” campaign, which seeks to highlight the great and vital job done by the logistics industry in the UK.

A diverse crowd of industry figures (including two Traffic Commissioners), journalists and politicians came together to celebrate the hard work done by logistics; which was highlighted in a rousing speech from FTA Chief Executive Theo de Pencier. All guests were issued with a couple of Christmas novelty items from FTA as a thanks for attending; and in amongst the freely-flowing cinnamon Bellinis and assorted canap├ęs an enjoyable and productive time was had by all.

FTA was particularly pleased to welcome the Transport Secretary Philip Hammond to the reception, and this gave FTA a golden opportunity to talk in an informal setting about the key logistics issues of the day.
