FTA Meets German In Wales

Posted on: Tuesday, 17 August 2010 by Mike Webb in categories Media and campaigns, Wales

On Tuesday, FTA sat down with the newest member of the National Assembly for Wales, Liberal Democrat Veronica German AM.

Mrs German has recently joined the Assembly, as a regional list member for South Wales East, when her predecessor was elevated to the House of Lords. For some people this might have been quite a culture shock, but fortunately Mrs German had a ringside seat to see the work of an Assembly member, as her predecessor was none other than her husband.

Mike German has always been a strong supporter of the logistics industry, particularly when working together seeking fariness on the Severn Crossing, and FTA wishes him every success in Westminster. The Association is also delighted that Veronica German appears to be just as keenly motivated to see an end to companies being penalised for moving vehicles into Wales.

Following a productive meeting, and discussions of how to take the campaign forward, FTA would like to wish Mrs German well in her new role raising the issues of interest to South Wales prior to the Assembly elections next year.
