FTA and Viridor showcase transport in Newton Abbot

FTA held a successful visit on Monday between the local Conservative candidate Anne-Marie Morris and Viridor of Newton Abbot.

This is the latest in a series of meetings FTA has held between parliamentary hopefuls and logistics companies across the country. The meeting took place at Viridor’s Newton Abbot landfill and transport site.

'Setting out key issues from our manifesto'

FTA Head of Policy for the South West, Stephen Kelly, was in attendance at the meeting. He said “we were delighted that Anne-Marie was keen to meet a logistics company in Newton Abbot, and are grateful to Viridor for their hospitality.”

“We had a good chat, setting out the key issues from our manifesto affecting commercial transport, and I hope that she will continue to work with us if elected next month.”

More visits coming soon…

The next visit will take place on Friday 23 April in Penicuik, and FTA will continue to arrange these popular engagements with politicians after the general election on 6 May.
