As an Account Manager for FTA, I'm based at home and work in the field - making my own appointments. The visits I make will be regarding membership renewals, identifying and explaining additional services that FTA can provide and helping out with compliance issues. It's also important that I make sure our members are happy with the service we are providing.
It's part of my remit to research additional services and look out for new opportunities for our members. I also work closely with the Member Advice Centre in instances where I can't answer compliance queries on the spot.
I'd known about FTA for years because I'd used their services in the past and they'd always struck me as very professional. I wanted to be a part of that, and that is what attracted me to FTA alongside the nature of what they do - helping their members.
I've been here for just under 4 years and I love getting out and helping members manage their business more effectively. It's fantastic to see the results and knowing that if a member has a query, you can resolve it. It's also very satisfying working for such a well-regarded name with a great reputation - it's easy to get in front of customers, because they respect the name of FTA.
The best thing about FTA as an employer is the people you work with and the professionalism. There is a great team and the business is always willing to support you and pull out the stops to get matters resolved. FTA is, without a doubt, the most professional employer I've ever worked for. From day 1, the training was excellent and I'm constantly learning.
I am 'buddied' with Chris Turner, who is a Business Development Advisor (BDA). This system has been introduced relatively recently and has been tremendous in allowing us to work more efficiently and effectively in our buddy team. We work together as one team supporting each other providing support to our current members and working towards identifying prospective members.
